Bone Jour!

A Bioactive Calcium/Mineral Supplement

Especially Formulated for Bones, Muscles & Nerves

Bone Jour! Is a specially formulated capsule packed full of vitamins, minerals, and cofactors needed by the body to support the functioning of bones, muscles & nerves and is suitable for vegetarians.

What exactly is Bone Jour? The health of connective tissues, nerves, and muscles depends on a wide range of nutrients in addition to calcium. These other nutrients have been shown through extensive research to work synergistically with calcium (e.g., see Preventing and Reversing Osteoporosis by Alan R. Gaby, MD).

Bone Jour!™ is especially useful for regulating calcium balance and can be used in cases where connective tissues, nerves, and muscles have been injured or are undergoing excessive stress (for instance during strenuous athletic activity) and/or degradation. lysine and lysine Glycine are important nutrients for producing connective tissue and the Krebs cycle bionutrients (succinate, alpha-ketoglutarate, citrate, fumarate, and malate) participate in many important bodily metabolic functions.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: BONE JOUR!™ is a specially formulated capsule packed full of vitamins, minerals, and cofactors needed by the body to support the functioning of bones, muscels & nerves. This formula includes calcium (from Krebs cycle bionutrients), magnesium (from glycinate and lysinate), zinc, silica, boron, manganese, copper, strontium, Vitamin C, Vitamin D3, and Vitamin K-1. Bone Jour!™ comes in the form of a gelatin capsule for optimal absorption of nutrients, and is suitable for vegetarians. (except for the capsule that may be emptied and thrown away)

Glycineis an amino acid found in the protein of all living organisms. Although most glycine is found in proteins, free glycine is found in body fluids as well as in the tissues and cells of plants. The normal human diet contributes approximately 2 grams of glycine to the body daily.

Since the cells of the human body can synthesize sufficient amounts of glycine to meet its needs, glycine is not considered an essential amino acid. Notwithstanding, glycine plays a major role in the synthesis of proteins, peptides, purines, adenosine triphosphate (ATP), nucleic acids, porphyrins, hemoglobin, glutathione, creatine, bile salts, one-carbon fragments, glucose, glycogen, and L-serine and many more amino acids. Glycine is also a neurotransmitter in the central nervous system. Glycine and gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) are the major inhibitory neurotransmitters in the central nervous system.

Researchers now also believe that glycine may play an important role in helping to maintain the health of the prostate. Glycine also enhances the activity of chemical messengers (neurotransmitters) in the brain and may possibly improve both memory and cognition health.

Lysine has many functions in the body because it is incorporated into many proteins, each of which is used by the body for a variety of purposes. It is an essential building block for all protein, and is needed for proper growth and bone development in children. Lysine helps the body absorb and conserve calcium and it plays an important role in the formation of collagen, a substance important for bones and connective tissues including skin, tendon, and cartilage. When vitamin C is combined with lysine, the formation of collagen is enhanced. Collagen is important to the formation of bone and tissue along with its repair. Because it helps to build muscle protein and repair tissues, lysine is especially important for those recovering from surgery or sports-related injuries.

The most promising application of lysine is its use in managing and preventing painful and unsightly herpes sores caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV). Lysine interferes with replication of herpes viruses and is therefore often prescribed by doctors to people with cold sores or genital herpes. Lysine supplements (as opposed to foods high in this nutrient) can also play an important role in staving off and reducing the severity of herpes-related cold sores. L-lysine can be used to treat mouth and genital lesions caused by herpes simplex virus as well as shingles caused by herpes zoster viruses.
